The Gamers to Engineers project

The UK has a shortage of engineers entering the job market. Many teenagers are put off engineering before they have a chance to know what it is, since it is not taught as a subject in UK secondary schools. Teenagers like playing computer games. The goal of the Gamers to Engineers project is to develop video games which require the player to perform engineering problem solving. By playing these games, teenagers will get a chance to experience this kind of problem solving and decide if they like it.

This Gamers to Engineers project is an off-shoot of the "I Want To Study Engineering" (IWTSE) project.

This Wiki site

This Wiki site is to help organise the Gamers to Engineers project and gives visibilty to anyone interested in the progress of the prroject.

This is not the site which will be used to deliver our games to the public. The public-facing site will be developed later when we have something worth delivering.

We will regularly post updates to the project and we encourage anyone with an interest to look at it, play with it and give us feedback
